Release
She found she was released one day,
she really can't say why.
He gave the girl an answer,
while she tried hard not to cry.
She wants more explanations,
simple words to ease her mind.
Still, she searches for excuses
for the ties that do not bind.
Without the Man she came to know
she feels so incomplete.
Suddenly she's lost, alone,
no longer at his feet.
Her only care - that he is pleased
(he is her heart's concern).
She wonders of the loss she feels,
the fire he made burn.
She watches as he turns away
and tries to bravely smile.
She draws a weary breath
as she begins her longest mile.
The Warrior, he's in her heart
it was he who made her whole
She finds though he's not guiding her
she craves his strong control.
The girl, she has no one Man's rule
to follow every day.
No one owns an aching slavegirl
and her heart she must betray.
So now she pleasures every Man
as if their steel she wore
And all she prays for earnestly
is her Warrior to adore.
She must move on, she won't give up
although he's nowhere near
She slowly finds her courage
as she wipes away a tear.
She has no expectations
of the road that lies ahead,
She takes a fearful step
and then remembers what he said.
"You are a slave, my girl."
His words still echo through her brain.
She summons up her hidden strength
and pushes back the pain.
There is no one to lead her down
the path she must pursue
But she will walk it all alone,
a slavegirl born anew.
He found the truth she could not see
he taught her what she is.
She learned she is a slavegirl
who always would be his.
