Obstacle Course

All players 2d20  16 or better for success

Starting point. Middle of Course at Log crossing:

1. Slippery Log ~ competitor must run across a slippery log or fall into the mud beneath it. Single point success, maximum of one roll.

Directly N of Log Crossing:

2. Net Climb ~ Competitor must approach the net and climb up it to the top of the wall. Triple point success, maximum of three rolls to accomplish. If competitor fails to accomplish, they will need to climb the stair case to the top for the next obstacle.

Top of Net Climb angling N to the ground:

3. Rope Slide ~ After Competitor has successfully reached the top by any means, then they will reach up and grab the rope slide. The competitor will then attempt to slide down the rope over the pool of muddy water and successfully reach the ground. Single point success, maximum of one roll.

N and E of Net Climb

4. Rope Swing ~ After the competitor has negotiated the rope slide, either successfully or unsuccessfully, then the next obstacle is the rope swing over the clean water. The contestant will reach up, grab the rope and swing across to the other side of the pit. Single point success, maximum of one roll.

E and S of Rope Swing

5. Crawl Cylinders ~ After the competitor has negotiated the rope swing, they will be confronted with a set of 3 crawl cylinders, the competitor will drop to their belly and crawl through one of the three. One of the cylinders is blocked and unable to be crawled through, the blocked cylinder is always random and set before the course is began. Single point success, maximum of one roll.

Directly S of Crawl Cylinders:

6. Zig-Zag Bars ~ After negotiating the crawl cylinders, the next obstacle is the Zig-Zag bars. The competitor will test their balance, upper body strength and speed here. The competitor will approach the Zig-Zag bars and place their hands on them and jump up, straightening their arms, once the competitor is stable, they will *walk* the length of the bars using their hands. Triple point success, maximum of four rolls. (If the competitor falls from the bar, they may jump back up onto them at that exact spot and continue going)

Directly S of Zig-Zag Bars:

7. Rope Swing ~ Again, the competitor will attempt to swing on a rope across an obstacle, this one filled with nice, warm mud. Happy swimming. Single point success, maximum of one roll.

S and W of Rope Swing:

8. Crawl Cylinders ~ After negotiating the rope swing over water, the competitor will again attempt a belly crawl through a cylinder. Again there are three cylinders, however, this time two of the cylinders will be randomly blocked. Single point success, maximum two rolls. ( If first roll fails, the contestant has found a blocked cylinder and may back out and try again.)

Directly W of Crawl Cylinders:

9. Slippery Log ~ Competitor will again attempt to negotiate a slippery log, this set over a mud hole. Single point success, maximum one roll.

Directly W of Slippery Log.

10. Climbing Wall ~ After negotiating the cylinders, the competitor is next met with a climbing wall. There are actually three ropes the competitor may grab to help climb this wall, or the competitor may attempt to leap up and grasp the top of the wall and pull themselves over. The wall is 8 feet tall. Single Point success, maximum one roll.

N and E of Rope Climb, S and W of Starting point.

11. Rope Climb ~ After negotiating the wall, the contestant will attempt to do a rope climb to ring the bell. This has been made a bit more difficult as everyone appeared to be able to climb the rope. For this rope climb, there is a pool of water beneath the suspended rope, the competitor will have to jump out to the rope, grasp it, and climb to the top and ring the bell. Once successfully completing this, the competitor may then either drop into the pool of clean water or swing across to the other side for free.
Single point success, maximum one roll.

Definitions:

Single point success ~ competitor must get at least one point on a roll.
Triple point success ~ competitor must get at least three points total over a set amount of rolls.

Extra Points:

The competitor may complete some obstacles with multiple points on a single roll of the dice. If that happens, the competitor may continue rolling the dice to attempt to gain extra points for that obstacle. The maximum roll amount for that obstacle establishes how many rolls may be taken on that specific obstacle. The competitor does not have to take additional rolls if they do not wish. Once an obstacles set point difficulty is met, then the competitor can not fail that obstacle, no matter what happens on subsequent point accumulating rolls.
