The Passing of Two Great Warriors
This night was one
of sadness for all citizens of the
City of Treve and
those of the City of Ko-ro-ba.
CmdrCaldorian of
Ko-ro-ba, after requesting an audience
to speak to Petyr
Stolliche, the former Ubar of Treve in
regards to a
challenge of Honor, was escorted into our
fair City as per the
customs of Treve, hooded and bound,
and escorted into the Inn. The
former Ubar, after refusing
to address the
matter of the challenge ordered that Caldorian
of Ko-ro-ba be
impaled while still bound in a manner that
was not befitting a
warrior. After which the Commander's
body was impaled on
a pike per the commands of the
former Ubar. As his swords
heard of the events that had
transpired
in their absence, one by one the Warriors of
Treve
rose up against the former Ubar and when he refused to go quietly
into detainment to await trial by the War Council, he was
disposed of by his men in the manner of the Codes and when all was
finished the Ubar's lifeblood
stained the soil of Treve and the warriors
declaring Ard Pantrell the Ubar of Treve.
The first command
given by the new Ubar was that the body
of Caldorian
of Ko-ro-ba was to be removed from the pike on which it now rested
and wrapped in a mantle of honor.
His second command was that a contingency of
warriors was to be formed which gathered the body of Caldorian and
returned it safely and with honor to the Ubar of Ko-ro-ba to be
given a proper pyre in the customs of his Home Stone.
Caldorian died with honor and dignity, and
love of
his Home Stone; the
last words that fell from his lips
were, "Hail Ko-ro-ba,
for which my tears fall". Because
of such his name will be immortalized in the
history
books of both Ko-ro-ba and Treve.
We, of Treve,
greatly mourn the loss of such a warrior,
and also the loss of our
former Ubar, Petyr Stolliche.
