Our new baby is named
for Kari, Maia, and India,
and the word Karama
means Honor in Ukungu
In
a last desperate attempt to save his son, the
child was lifted to those who were trying to
rescue his family from the small craft being
consumed by the crashing waves. The child
was saved but in spite of heroic actions by the
rescuers, the rest of the family was lost to the
storm. The baby was the only survivor of the
tragedy. The last word caught amid the
howling winds was Gareth... whether it
be the name of the father, family or the
child's, it will never be known.
