Seemingly like too long ago many of our fine
warriors and their families struck upon this land to see what was
out there beyond our known lands. Warriors, Scribes,
Physicians, Builders and people of all caste left the homes they
knew for the unknown. Some say they were called by the
Priest-Kings. Some said it was simply a restless spirit to
adventure the unknown. To leave took courage but many that
were left behind were left with the pains of abandonment, broken
trusts, silent betrayals all harbored deep within some souls.
Now we are faced with the return of some of the adventurers.
Some were lost to unknown events. Some had questions
answered. Most are just hungry for a life they once knew.
How do we accept those who walked away from their
loyalties, their allies, blood brothers and heart sisters.
We must remember they were once apart of a city, a strength and
heart of the same. Just as they were a valued member before
they can be so again. It was a massive exodus for a search
of something more. But answer me this? Are we not
Goreans, a courageous breed with the desire and strength so seek
out the answers for ourselves? Surely their bravery and
courage retained some of their honor. Perhaps in
time the trust can be earned. Each one of these souls,
Warriors, Scribes, Physicians, Builders alike knew returning they
would be scorned or at least doubted yet they returned to face it.
They have learned from their choice. Now each city must find
a way to allow the growth to make them stronger by
acceptance even if it is in time.
Like a ship that leaves the port for the Thassa,
are we ever sure what is really out there and that they in fact
will return?
