The Woman's Place
Remember this is my
personal opinion by the way I was raised within the high
caste. I understand many things differ from city
to city and place to place and I have been lucky enough
to travel enough to witness some of these differences
myself.
The Single Free Woman's
place is to work within her Caste to learn as best she
can to better herself and caste and prepare herself to
be a proper companion hopefully to someone in a caste
higher than her own.
The Companioned Free
Woman' place is; to look after her companion's domestic
affairs and bear strong heirs, hopefully male heirs and
plenty of them. At gatherings she is to be polite
and charming, coy yet not shy nor deceitful and always
entertaining to her guests and fellow citizens.
This is the place most Companioned women fail not due
for lack of trying but due to a woman's emotional habit
of caring about other's affairs. So they try to
help, they encourage, they console, they express
emotional opinions which often lead to men proclaiming
that they should generally silence themselves.
I am not saying a woman
should not hold opinions. I hold many but I have
learned to express them carefully especially around men.
I have witnessed a free woman shouting tirades at a
warrior in public. Sometimes it seems to me that
the men do not find free women even worth correcting
once they have gone so far and at that point they
definitely do not want to put a collar on them because
then they are stuck with them. So when someone
asks me why some warriors do not take action on a mouthy
woman? I simply reply. "They do not find her
of worth."
Just some food
for thought.
