City Trade Agreement and
Declaration of Mutual Aid
The following are the terms of the
contract to establish trade and mutual aid between the Cities of
Schendi~Ushindi and Cos.
I. Tariffs
The Tariffs between the Cities of Schendi~Ushindi and Cos are set at
1 per cent of the gross value of goods coming into or leaving either
city. The Merchants of the respective cities will be responsible for
all aspects of their goods including, but not limited to, the
following: transportation, security, quality of said goods,
spoilage, and theft all of which will be assumed by said merchant
sending the goods.
II. Thefts and improprieties of a Gorean nature
Thefts and improprieties of a Gorean nature shall be addressed by
the Security Master or High Council of said City in which it occurs.
No raids will be sanctioned by either City against the other.
III. Payment of goods
Payment of goods is due on receipt after inspection and a proffer of
the bill of lading. Once payment is made and the signature of
receiver affixed to the bill of lading, any loss, including but not
limited to, breakage, spoilage, theft, raid, or piracy, is the sole
responsibility of the recipient.
IV. Mutual Aid
For the Cities of Schendi~Ushindi and Cos, provided this instrument
is not in conflict with a previously dated writ of Alliance, and
provided the two Cities are not engaged in the prospect of War
between themselves, each city may seek mutual aid of the other by
way of its Warriors and naval fleet, on an as needed basis, to
ensure safe trade between both cities. The city whose aid is sought
is hereby given full rights to deny or grant aid by the Sword of the
Rarii.
V. Free Women
Free Women of the Allied Cities, when engaged in trade activities,
shall be treated with respect as though they are of the respective
cities. Collaring of Free Woman shall be allowed only as dictated by
the formal writ of each city. Retainment of a Free Woman under a
writ for hearing before the respective High Councils of the City is
acceptable; collaring without authority of the respective High
Councils is not acceptable. The transgression of courting a collar,
as such, shall be addressed by the City Council or Magistrate in the
City of occurrence.
VI. Visitation
Visitation of and between the Cities shall be courteously applied
for in advance so that arrangements and accommodations can be
properly addressed.
VII. Termination
This agreement is personal between the respective Ubars of the
allied cities and shall terminate upon the death, retirement or
resignation, whichever may first occur, of either.
Affixing of signatures below is legal acceptance of the
aforementioned terms, and takes effect immediately.
